Sony World Photography Awards 2016

As a start i wanted to thank Sony and World Photography Organisation to bring people together from around the world with photography.

I took part of the Sony World Photography Awards 2016 with my Mushrooms photo and happened to win the Finland National award.
"Mushrooms" at the 2016 Sony World Photography Exhibiton,
Somerset House, London.

For an amateur photographer this was truly an astounding event overall. The exbibition at Somerset House and ceremony & gala evening in Hilton Park Lane were full of great photos and fellow photographers from all over the globe.

All of the National Award winners received the latest Sony digital imaging equipment. Part of the prize was trip to London to take part of the gala evening and the exhibition, so thank you once more to Sony and WPO!

I highly recommend the exhibition, it really shows the diversity of photography in general. The level of photography is very high and i want to congratulate all of the winning images and photographers.

Waiting for the gala ceremony to start at the European National winners table,
Hilton Park Lane, Grand Ballroom, London.

You can join for the next years Sony World Photography Awards, it will be open for entries on 1st June 2016. Good luck!

Back home again, Helsinki-Vantaa airport metro station. Not me in the picture :)
